Duration: 5 days
Course Description:
This course is the continuation of the basic course entitled, " Paraffin and Asphaltene in Crude Oils: Theory, Problem and Solutions". This advanced course discusses in depth all the emerging laboratory and field technologies. related to paraffin and asphaltene. The course considers Near Infrared Spectroscopy laboratory Technology, Spectrum/ Electromagnetic principles and theory, 3-D P-T- Composition diagrams combined with crystallization curves for paraffin and flocculation curves for asphaltene, Magnetic and electromagnetic principles, theory and design of magnetic and electromagnetic devices applied to petroleum industry, Microbial methods field design and laboratory implementation, chemical In-situ heat generation with Nitrogen displacement method to control paraffin deposition. attention is given to mathematical models to predict paraffin and asphaltene deposition.
